DMIS 1101 — Sonographic Physics & Instrumentation I 3 Credit Hours

Introduction to physics of acoustics and sonographic instrumentation. Production and types of sound waves discussed. Demonstration of propagation of ultrasound through tissues, transducers, pulse-echo instruments and display methods. (2 lecture hours, 2 lab hours)
