ART 2244 — Ceramics Wood, Raku, & Pit Firings 1 Credit Hour

Theory and practical application of outdoor firings, including wood, raku, and pit. Exploration of functional and sculptural forms appropriate for alternative firings, utilizing pottery wheel and/or handbuilding processes. Includes clay bodies, surface treatment, special effects, and firing protocol. (2 lab hours)
