This course covers the personal and professional aspects of alcohol and drug counseling as a career. It deals with such problematic areas as burnout, recovery, certification and credential requirements, professional associations and personal and professional growth. It introduces problems and possible solutions that will be thematic in many courses in this program. This course can be taken concurrently with HSAD 001, if HSAD 001 not previously completed.
