FIRE 001A is part 1 of 2 courses that meet the requirements of FIRE 001 (Principles of Emergency Services). FIRE 001A provides: an overview to fire protection and emergency services; career opportunities in fire protection and related fields; culture and history of emergency services; fire loss analysis; basic fire chemistry and physics; and fire service nomenclature. Completion of both FIRE 001A and FIRE 001B will meet the Fire and Emergency Service Higher Education (FESHE) model curriculum for Principles of Emergency Services.
