This introductory communication course focuses on the basic foundations of public speaking, interpersonal communication, and small group communication. Students will examine and practice human communication principles and theories to develop critical thinking and communication competencies in a variety of contexts. This course exposes students to rhetorical theory and public speaking fundamentals within the contexts of their interpersonal interactions, group communication processes, and live presentations (including informative and persuasive speeches).
