MUS 177 — C Songwriting Workshop 3 Units

Term hours: 54 lecture. This course is an intermediate to advanced workshop in popular songwriting. Students will analyze melody, harmony, song form, rhythm, and lyrics as they apply to popular songs. Emphasis will be placed on original compositions, while studying compositions by well-known songwriters and recording artists. (CSU)
