MAD 191 — C Film Noir Genre 3 Units
This course is an in depth exploration of Film Noir. The film genre identified by its crime melodramas where private investigators, innocents and deceptive characters live in a world of corruption, betrayal, obsession, intense romantic trysts and sudden violence. Films will be screened from this period in cinema which began in the early 1940’s and continued to the late 1950’s with echoes of the genre emerging up to the present. (UC/CSU, AA GE, CalGETC)
