ENGL 221 — C American Literature to 1865 3 Units
Term hours: 54 lecture. This course is a survey of the literature of American writers from the Colonial Period to 1865. It is designed to increase understanding and appreciation of the development of American culture and literary achievements. A diversity of writings will be included to reflect the various subjects and styles that comprise the development of American Literature. (CSU/UC, AA GE, CSU GE, IGETC, C-ID: ENGL 130)
