ART 111 — C Survey of Art History I 3 Units
Term hours: 54 lecture. This course studies the development of ancient and medieval architecture, sculpture, and painting in Western culture. Emphasis is placed on examining how art records and shapes history, how style communicates the ideas of the artist and his culture and how symbols, techniques, materials and subjects are used and transferred from one culture to another. Pass/No Pass/Letter Grade Option. Cost of Museum visit will not exceed $25.00. (UC/CSU, AA GE, CalGETC, C-ID:ARTH 110).
