ES 019C — Advanced Physical Fitness

Advanced-level instruction in physical fitness and wellness with an emphasis on independent program design, advanced training methods, and long-term application of exercise science principles. Students will demonstrate mastery of cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition, and skill-related components through performance-based assessments. Nutrition, recovery strategies, and periodization principles will be applied to optimize fitness outcomes and lifelong wellness. (CSU/UC) (AA/AS-7B)
