Units: 5 Lecture Hours: 90 Lab Hours: 0 Outside Hours: 180 Grading Method: Letter Credit Status: Credit, degree applicable Conditions of Enrollment: Prerequisite: SPAN 102 with a minimum grade of C This intermediate course, taught within the context of Spanish and Latin American culture, emphasizes the study of the essentials of Spanish grammar and the fundamentals of formal Spanish composition. Through oral and written practice, students expand their Spanish vocabulary and use of idiomatic expressions. Students read materials of representative Spanish and Latin American authors. Note: Offered in fall and summer. Note: The prerequisite for this course is comparable to three years of high school Spanish.
