Units: 4.5 Lecture Hours: 36 Lab Hours: 135 Outside Hours: 72 Grading Method: Letter Credit Status: Credit, degree applicable Conditions of Enrollment: Prerequisite: NURS 230, NURS 232, NURS 234, and NURS 238 with a minimum grade of C Enrollment Limitation: Students must be admitted to the Nursing Program In this course, students will learn about therapeutic care for patients with moderate to severe disease states by utilizing the nursing process, biophysical and medical/surgical concepts. Emphasis will be placed on the role of nurse as patient advocate and manager of care in the clinical setting.
