Emphasis will be placed on the care of the older adult population and includes critical thinking, legal and ethical issues within the nursing profession. Concepts include hormonal regulation, glucose regulation, perfusion, pain, communication, safety, functional ability, family dynamics, self-management and health promotion, intracranial regulation, cognition, interpersonal violence, ethics, health care law, sensory perception, mobility, and tissue integrity.
