BARB 1100 — Barber/Styling practicum and Internship

Provides experience necessary for professional development and completion of requirements for state licensure. Emphasis will be placed on the display of professional conduct and positive attitudes. The requirements for this course may be met in a laboratory setting or in a combination of a laboratory setting and an approved internship facility. Topics include: haircutting/styling, hairstyling texturizing, shaving, beard trimming, thermal waving, hairpiece fitting and styling, safety precautions, and licensure preparation. (Note: The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology/Barbering does not approve internships)

Prerequisites: BARB 1030, BARB 1040, BARB 1050, BARB 1060
