MATH 1000 - Essentials of Algebra MATH 1000 - Essentials of Algebra An algebra course containing a review of selected algebraic concepts; functions, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions and equations, rational exponents, radicals, quadratic equations; properties and graphs of functions; and exponential and logarithmic functions and equations. Methods of solving real-world applications are integrated throughout the course content. Essentials of Algebra is designed to provide students with skills which support their success in upper college-level curricula and enable them to achieve their educational goals. Upon earning a grade of “C” or better, the student becomes eligible to enter either MATH 1710 - Precalculus Algebra or MATH 1630 - Finite Mathematics .
