This course teaches foundational knowledge of nursing concepts and clinical decision making to provide evidence-based nursing care. Content includes but is not limited to: Coordinator/ manager of care, perfusion, oxygenation, infection, inflammation, tissue integrity, nutrition, elimination, mobility/immobility, cellular regulation, acid/base balance, and fluid/electrolyte balance. Credit Hours: 8 Lecture: 4 Lab: 1 (3 contact hours:1 credit hour) Clinical/Practicum: 3 (3 contact hours: 1 credit hour)
