The Basic Certificate in Construction Carpentry prepares students for an entry level apprentice position with a construction contractor. The program provides instruction in tool safety and usage, construction materials, work site safety, blueprint reading, and mathematical concepts. Course content also includes an introduction to the trades and basic ARC welding. Theory and practical “hands-on” application are emphasized throughout the program. Students will receive the OSHA Construction Safety and Health 30-hour Certification and Scaffold Certification upon successful completion of the program.
