KINE 2356 — Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries*

Prevention and care of athletic injuries with emphasis on qualities of a good athletic trainer, avoiding accidents and injuries, recognizing signs and symptoms of specific sports injuries and conditions, immediate and long-term care of injuries, and administration procedures in athletic training. Three lecture hours per week. Credit: 3 semester hours Mathematics In-depth study and applications of polynomial, rational, radical, exponential and logarithmic functions, and systems of equations using matrices. Additional topics such as sequences, series, probability, and conics may be included; may not apply toward a major in math. Three lecture hours per week. Credit: 3 semester hours Prerequisite: Meet TSI college-readiness standard for Mathematics and High School Algebra I & II
