CRMJ 2500 - Crime and Media CRMJ 2500 - Crime and Media (3 Credit Hours) Analyzes the role of the mass media in affecting our judgement, our attitudes, our perceptions of crime, and societal reaction to crime in general; how public knowledge of crime is fundamentally derived from the media, along with the creation of “fear of crime.” It is the mass media that plays a significant role in the interpretation of criminality and our criminal justice system.
