WMT 184 — Introduction To Digital Fabrication

This course introduces the student to computer-aided design (CAD) software and its use in fabrication operations using computer-controlled machines. Topics include software operations and preparing files for use in machines like CNC routers, laser cutters, and 3D printers. Emphasis is placed on design, planning, safety, and integrating technology into an effective making practice. This course is not open to students who are currently enrolled in or have completed WMT 171C .
