TH 104 — History and Appreciation of Musical Theatre
This course introduces the student to the history and literature of the musical theatre from mid-19th century to present day. The course will explore the stylistic distinctions found in the musical as well as its social and cultural significance. Emphasis is placed on the contributions and influence of the individual writer, composer, or lyricist.
