MUS 156 — Contemporary Music Notation

2.5 credits · 2.5 hours

This course trains students in the craft and technique of music notation. Students will learn to create professional-quality vocal scores, lead sheets, piano reductions, arrangements, tablatures, and worksheets. Students will learn practical techniques and workflows to produce manuscripts with computer notation software. Topics include transpositions, part creation, and working from MIDI files.
