KIN 106 — Sport in Society

This course will explore the contemporary and historical relationship between sport and society. Students will examine race, gender, class, government, religion, and people with disabilities in American Sport. The history and benefit of youth, collegiate, and professional sport in society will be discussed. Ethical considerations of sports, athletes, and the influence of coaches will be investigated.
