DH 315 — Dental Hygiene Clinical Science I
Intended for students accepted in the Dental Hygiene Baccalaureate Degree Program. This course focuses on the methodology and rationale for patient assessment and data collection. It is designed to develop the competencies necessary for providing comprehensive patient care and for creating individualized treatment plans. It provides the knowledge and skills on obtaining and reviewing patient histories, determination of vital signs, extraoral and intraoral examination, examination of the gingival and periodontal tissues, examination of the teeth and appropriate documentation of the data.
