Fundamentals of measuring and measurement devices in mechanical measurements. Instrument characteristics, data and error analysis, and calibration will be covered. Experiments with basic instrumentation applied to measurements of force, strain, velocity, acceleration, temperature, pressure, and flow rates will be explored. Prerequisite: METR 1111
