Emergency Management – Community Support and Preparedness
Students in this program will use a multi-agency, systems level approach to examine government, NGO, Indigenous community and private sector interoperability considerations in emergency management. Through scenario and case study-based activities students will explore the five pillars of emergency management: prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. The Incident Management System (IMS), and International Association of Emergency Managers certifications will inform the program content, with graduates eligible to become members in both organizations.
