A survey course of fundamental geologic processes, hazards, and the interactions of humans with the environment. Lecture three hours, laboratory two hours per week. ~GSP 1004 Physical Science & Lab 4 credits Prerequisite: ACT Mathematics score of 19+, Next Gen Accuplacer QAS score of 260+ or completion of MATH 0044 Foundations of College Algebra with a “C” or higher. The relationship of man to his physical world. Content of the course is centered on the development of our modern concepts about matter and energy and how this development is related to the social order of which man is a part. This course does not satisfy science certification for secondary school teachers. It is not accepted as a course requirement for any natural science field.
