PTA 204 - Practicum I PTA 204 - Practicum I This course emphasizes the interpersonal aspects of patient care in physical therapy, including communication and education, cultural competence, and adherence to ethical standards. Students will develop an understanding of inclusive and equitable patient care practices and the importance of recognizing psychosocial aspects of health and disability including disparities within the health care system. During the final two weeks of the semester, students will complete a sixty-hour patient care experience in an assigned, supervised clinical setting.

Prerequisites: PTA100, PTA113, PTA201, PTA207, BIOL142, BIOL145, BIOL150
