NURS 226 - Nursing Concepts 4 NURS 226 - Nursing Concepts 4 Nursing Concepts 4 focuses on the nurse’s role in the care of individuals who experience difficulty with oxygenation, fluid and electrolytes, mobility, sensation, cognition, regulation and metabolism, trauma and care coordination. Learning experiences are designed to foster increased depth and understanding of altered homeostasis and its effect on the patient and their family. Emphasis is placed on experiences to enhance students’ utilization of the nursing process and to develop clinical reasoning techniques as they apply to the more seriously ill patient. Prototypes of health problems will be used to represent the selected concepts. 2
