This course explores advanced harmonic and formal practices from the late 19th and 20th centuries, including enharmonic modulation, altered and extended chords, common-tone diminished seventh chords, and post-tonal techniques such as pitch-class set theory and serialism. Includes a required lab component focusing on ear training and sight-singing. 1
