HIST 125 - Western Civilization I HIST 125 - Western Civilization I Surveys the foundations of Western civilization in the ancient near east and the Greco-Roman world, and traces the transmission of ideas from these early cultures to the Medieval world, from the first feudal monarchies to the Protestant Reformation. Among the cultures studied are those of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, North Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
