HIM 255 - Mgmt of Elec. Health Records HIM 255 - Mgmt of Elec. Health Records This course introduces students to the administration of medical office workflow using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Students gain hands-on experience with simulated electronic medical record applications, learning how patient registration, appointment scheduling, billing, collections, and daily office workflow are managed electronically. Emphasis is placed on posting patient charges and payments, generating encounter forms, billing statements, and insurance forms, and understanding daily close and aged balance transactions. 2
