EMS 212 - Paramedic Theory IV EMS 212 - Paramedic Theory IV Prepares individuals to complete preparation for paramedic certification. This eight-week course includes a variety of emergency responses and management related to neonatal resuscitation, the care of the pediatric patient, certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, adult lifespan development, care of the geriatric patient, sensory impairments, home care, domestic violence, abuse and assault of children and adults, care of patients with special challenges, EMS research, cultural care, HazMat awareness, workforce safety and wellness, stress management, multiple casualty incident, rescue triage, incident management, terrorism and disasters, and summative evaluations. Concurrent enrollment in EMS 214
Prerequisites: EMS210, EMS214
