EMS 203 - Cognitive Psychomotor I EMS 203 - Cognitive Psychomotor I This course covers key topics including EMS systems, workforce safety and wellness, medical, legal, and ethical issues, as well as anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and patient assessment techniques. Other topics include pharmacology, airway management, and the treatment of respiratory, cardiac, neurological, and trauma-related emergencies. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, communication, and documentation to prepare students for the clinical challenges they will encounter in the field. This lecture course forms the theoretical foundation for the practical skills developed in subsequent lab courses, ensuring students are well-prepared to provide high-quality care in pre-hospital settings. Concurrent enrollment in EMS 201 and EMS 205 .
