CS 227 - Database Management Systems CS 227 - Database Management Systems This course provides the student with database system concepts. Topics introduced include: conceptual, logical and physical designs, Entity Relationship (ER), ER diagramming, ER mapping, normalization, SQL, coreDBMS functions, transaction management, triggers, views, stored procedures, and indexes. Several types of database systems will be reviewed with the focus of study on relational database systems. Students will design and build databases using SQL Server. 1
