ISTC 2133 — Database Security
Sem: F 2 Lec./2 Lab Hrs./week Prerequisite: ISTC 1113 Cybersecurity Essentials, ISTC 1513 Network Fundamentals, and ISTC 1033 Software Essentials with a grade of “C” or better. This course provides students with the necessary skills to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of a database environment. Students will gain comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of database strategies used to face the growing number of threats to network security. Students will perform installations and configurations for multiple platforms. Students will gain insight to essential database security processes and protocols. This course provides hands-on labs and activities to supplement and enhance student skills. A lab fee is required.
