ISTC 1113 — Cybersecurity Essentials
Sem: F/S 3 Lec. Hrs./week This course covers foundational knowledge and essentials skills to secure and protect data. It explores cyber trends, threats and attacks, how to protect business operations in cyberspace, and characteristics of and tactics used by cyber criminals. It then delves into the technologies, products, and procedures cybersecurity professional use to combat cybercrime. It also covers importance of cybersecurity, data confidentiality and best practices for using the internet and social media. A lab fee is required.
