ISTC 1033 — Software Essentials
Sem: S 3 Lec. Hrs./week This course presents an in-depth review of software, security, and responsibilities of an IT professional. An emphasis is placed on operating system installation, configuration, and administration. In addition, this course covers topics on security threats to data, computers, and networks and presents techniques and tools to protect against them. This course provides hands-on labs and activities to supplement and enhance student skills in critical thinking and problem-solving. A lab fee is required.
