PBT 111 — Phlebotomy Practicum: This course
provides supervised experience in the performance of venipuncture and micro-collection techniques in a clinical facility. Emphasis is placed on patient interaction and application of universal precautions, proper collection techniques, special procedures, specimen handling, and data management. Upon completion, students should be able to safely perform procedures necessary for specimen collections on patients in various health care settings.
